Der bislang tollste Trailer des noch jungen Jahres feierte just bei Apple Premiere und zwar der zu “Moonrise Kingdom” von Wes Anderson. Allein der Cast reicht schon aus, um mich gänzlich in Verzückung geraten zu lassen: Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton und Jason Schwartzman. Man ergänze das ganze um zwei allem Anschein nach sehr talentierte Kinderdarsteller sowie Andersons typische, liebgewonnene Optik und schon ist meine Euphorie nicht mehr zu bremsen. Einen deutschen Starttermin gibt es noch nicht, in unserem Nachbarland Frankreich kommt “Moonrise Kingdom” am 16. Mai in die Kinos.
Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, MOONRISE KINGDOM tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore — and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle. Bruce Willis plays the local sheriff. Edward Norton is a Khaki Scout troop leader. Bill Murray and Frances McDormand portray the young girl’s parents. The cast also includes Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, and Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward as the boy and girl.
“Get Low” erzählt die angeblich wahre Geschichte eines Einsiedlers in den 30er Jahren in Tennessee. Dieser plant gemeinsam mit dem örtlichen Leichenbestatter seine eigene Beerdigungsfeier, an der er jedoch höchstlebendig selbst teilnehmen will. Was zunächst nach einer skurilen Komödie klingt ist offenbar mehr Crime-Drama, denn auf der Feier will der Eremit den zahlreichen Gästen ein dunkles Geheimnis offenbaren. In den Hauptrollen sind Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek und Bill Murray zu sehen.
Fox Searchlight hat einen zweiten Trailer zu Wes Anderson’s Stop-Motion Abenteuer veröffentlicht. Dieser bestätigt auf ein Neues, dass mein anfängliches Desinteresse völlig ungerechtfertigt war.
So geht’s ja nun wirklich nicht! Da gibt es famose Trailer zu den neuen Filmen einiger meiner Lieblingsregisseure und ich erwähne das hier mit keiner Silbe. Höchste Zeit also!
Zunächst wären da die Gebrüder Coen, die mit “No Country for Old Men” und “Burn After Reading” wieder vollends zurück in der Spur sind. Ihr neuster Streich “A Serious Man” ist recht unprominent besetzt und bekam zudem einen ziemlich wirren ersten Trailer spendiert, der aber gerade deshalb so großartig ist. Zum Takt des Kopfes des Protagonisten, der gegen eine Wand geschlagen wird, werden verschiedene Filmszenen und -dialoge aneinandergereiht und teilweise wiederholt. Inhaltlich erfährt man so gut wie nichts, ein Umstand, der durchaus begrüßenswert ist. Hier noch die Kurzzusammenfassung:
A black comedy set in 1967 and that centers on Larry Gopnik, a Midwestern professor who watches his life unravel when his wife prepares to leave him because his inept brother won’t move out of the house.
Der zweite Trailer ist für Wes Anderson’s “Fantastic Mr. Fox”, einem Stop-Motion Film, der auf einem Kinderbuch von Roald Dahl basiert und mich anfangs so gar nicht interessieren wollte. Das hat sich mit dem Erscheinen des Trailers allerdings schlagartig geändert, denn zum einen scheint der einzigartige Anderson Humor auch in Stop-Motion gut zu funktioniere n,und außerdem kann sich die Liste der Voice Actor mit George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray und Willem Dafoe mehr als sehen lassen!
Die Rolle des Protagonisten in Jim Jarmuschs neuem Film ist mit Isaach De Bankolé eher unprominent besetzt (wobei er unter Jarmusch-Fans keinUnbekanntersein sollte), ganz im Gegensatz zur restlichen Darstellerriege, die Gael García Bernal, John Hurt, Tilda Swinton und den mittlerweile wohl obligatorischen Bill Murray umfasst. Hier der Plot:

Michael Keaton – The Merry Gentleman
Ich bin ganz Peters Meinung: Michael Keaton braucht endlich wieder gute Rollen! Dem Trailer nach zu urteilen könnte “The Merry Gentlemen” ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung sein und praktischerweise handelt es sich dabei auch gleich noch um sein Regiedebüt. Hier der Plot:
Running away from a troubled marriage, Kate Frazier hopes to find anonymity with a new home and a new job in Chicago. Despite friendly flirtation from co-workers and others, the shy and reserved Kate keeps her distance, avoiding questions about her sudden arrival and her recent past.
When Kate meets Frank Logan, the two discover unexpected satisfaction in their mutual, shared silence. Haunted by the troubling choices he has made, Frank finds a kindred spirit in the younger Kate, and for a moment the two seem destined to redeem and remake each other. Jeremy Alter – The Perfect Sleep
The Perfect Sleep hatte ich vor über einem Jahr bereits in den Shorts mit einem ersten Trailer erwähnt. Nun gibt es für den Noir-Thriller zwar immer noch keinen Starttermin, aber immerhin einen neuen Trailer, der mir erneut das Wasser im Mund zusammen laufen lässt. Hier der Plot:
In a timeless city, a man with no name returns to the violent, brutal domain of assassins he left ten years before – back when they dubbed him The Mad Monk for his disregard for his own life and his intense devotion to one woman, Porphyria; a beautiful, luminescent woman; the girl he grew up with; the love of his life; the one thing he has ever wanted; the one thing he can never have.
